A Game of Dwarves: a Bit of Fantasy on Your Computer

The world of computer games is quite various and exciting. In every game you have to explore, complete missions, kill somebody or die. Many of them are interesting, some not, but as a rule all of them have similar aims.
A Game of Dwarves is the best representative of strategic genre and could definitely be compared with Terraria, Minecraft or Dwarf Fortress. The main aim of the game is to look after a small group of dwarves while you hunt for treasures which are hidden in the depth of earth. Although the game is mostly about management, you don’t have direct control over the units, you can only hint at what you wish them to do by marking areas for building, digging and fighting, etc. So, everyone in A Game of Dwarves sticks to his business. It is a very successful combination of strategy and management.
The scenery is quite ordinary – to build and expand fortress, search and gather resources, kill enemies. During the game you can also level up your dwarves. The final of the strategy is to find the objective room with boss, whom you have to fight and kill. But it is not as easy as it seems. There is a big possibility that several of your dwarves will die as you delve deeper and deeper down in the ground.
The best moments are at the start of the game when you just begin to build your kingdom, and the worst appears when your fortress goes out of control.
Anyway, it is better to play A Game of Dwarves personally. You should only try the first level and you will see how mind-blowing this game is.

This is very worrying as a fan of Homeworld. The Homeworld rights have not been in THQ’s hands all that long. They used to be owned by sierra, and Relic lost the ability to make Homeworld games when THQ purchased the studio
A Game of Dwarves is a welcome return to the Dungeon Keeper style of management games. Despite a few strange design choices and a lack of strong momentum in the lengthy campaign, the game still offers great value if you are looking for a rather relaxed session of dwarf herding.
A Game of Dwarves could have been a better revival of the genre that Dungeon Keeper started, but it’s still a solid title and at $10, anyone in this particular niche will get what they payed for.
